Ik hoop dat jullie allemaal een hele fijne Koninginnedag hebben gevierd. Ik ben vanmorgen even naar de rommelmarkt geweest (helaas niets gekocht) en verder heb ik lekker alles op de TV kunnen volgen. 't Is tenslotte toch een stukje historie wat er vandaag is gebeurd, de abdicatie van Koningin Beatrix en het installeren van onze Koning Willem-Alexander met Koningin Maxima. Wat een prachtig paar is het samen!
Ik heb een paar foto's rechtstreeks van de tv genomen en (al zeg ik het zelf) ze zijn behoorlijk goed gelukt. Daar heb ik dan meteen onderstaande layout mee gemaakt, want dit stukje geschiedenis dient toch wel worden vastgelegd. Het is een heel simpele layout geworden, die eigenlijk verder niets nodig heeft, de foto's spreken voor zich. Basis voor de layout is de mei-schets van Once upon a sketch.
Voor degenen, die nog niet uitgefeest zijn: nog veel plezier vanavond!

I hope you all had a nice day and particularly for my Dutch followers: I hope that you had a great Queens Day! Today our Queen Beatrix has abdicated in favour of her son Willem-Alexander, so as off today we have a King & Queen! I spent most of my day in front of the television to follow all of the festivities in our capital city Amsterdam and managed to get some photos right from the screen. I used them for this layout, because I think this is a part of our National History, that has to be recorded. The layout is based upon the May sketch at Once upon a Sketch and is in fact quite (clean &) simple. Three little words (king, queen, royal), the date and the initials WA is all the journaling there is. Together with the crown and our national colors orange, red, white and blue it makes a royal layout.
