carroussel mini album met satestokjes

Als ik 's nachts wakker lig, krijg ik af en toe de meest creatieve ideeën. Zo heb ik vorige week dit minialbum in bed liggen uitwerken, toen ik niet kon slapen. Hoe groot is de frustratie 's ochtends dan, als je er niet meteen aan kunt beginnen, omdat je niet voldoende papier in huis hebt!! Afijn, na een bezoek aan de plaatselijke hobbywinkel kon ik aan de slag. Het mini-album is gemaakt van zwart cardstock en gebonden met de satéstokjes-techniek (tutorial vind je op mijn blog hier) en heeft pagina's van 10 x 10 cm. Uit één vel cardstock kun je 4 dubbele pagina's snijden. Alle foto's komen van een van mijn pinterestboards en heb ik klein afgedrukt op verschillende formaten, ze verlopen in kleur van wit naar zwart. Om het boekje te laten staan, heb ik 2 houten doppen gebruikt, waar de boven- en onderkant van de satéstokjes in vallen. De doppen zijn vastgelijmd op aangekleed chipboard, zodat het geheel stevig staat als een desktop carroussel. Als je de bovenste helft eraf neemt, kun je het boekje ook liggend bekijken.

When I lay awake in bed at night, sometimes my creative mind works overtime. Last week when I couln't catch my sleep, I worked out an idea for a desktop carroussel mini album. How frustrated I was when I wanted to make a start with it the next day, and found out that I did not have the neccesary cardstock at hand!! So I payed a visit to the local hobby store and finally could have a go with it. The mini album is made of black cardstock and measures 4x4 inch (you can cut 4 pages from every sheet of cardstock). The binding was made using my skewers technique (tutorial is on my blog, just click here). All photos come from one of my pinterest boards and were printed at various dimensions. In order to make the album into a carroussel, I used two lids where the ends of the skewers fit in at the bottom and top. The lids were glued to a circle of chipboard to let it stand steadily. When you remove the top lid, you can take the album out and lay it flat to see all the different pages.
