Australian icon

Hallo allemaal!

Hi everyone!
Does it ever happen to you that sometimes when you get something finished, you don't post it on your blog? Well, that happened to me quite a few times actually, either because I forgot to take a photo, or just because I'm not really satisfied with the outcome. In between things I'm making scrapbooking pages for my Australian travel album, but there are so many photos laying around that I doubt I will ever finish it. Every now and then I make a page to add to the album. This layout above is one of them. I used inspiration board # 234 from Color Combos Galore and sketch # 11 at Scrap Friends (mirrored) for it. Seeing the colors at the inspiration board, I found them rather dull, but the more I looked at it, the more ideas came to my mind. I used mainly photo # 4 as inspiration and used a compass, some grid paper and a scrap of measurement papers as well. Some of the embellishments are transparent (inspiration from photo # 1), like the dew drops, filmstrip and the fragment on the title. The flowers are home made, punched out of blisters and colored with alcohol inks. Photo # 3 inspired me to use the metal compass needle and the silvery corner at the bottom right.
Thanks for your visit, see you soon!

  4. Mooie LO! Groetjes, Gerrina
